Job summary

Maxwell Recruitment & Training is sourcing Stainless Steel Boilermakers for a client’s Tomago workshop. The role involves light to medium stainless steel fabrication and MIG welding to a high standard, reading fabrication drawings, and maintaining quality and safety in a workshop setting.

Two positions at a casual rate of $58.39 per hour with ideally four months of work, including potential for a four-day working week. Experience with 316 stainless steel preferred.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Boilermaker.
• Experience fabricating and welding stainless steel.
• MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Strong commitment to quality and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of light to medium stainless steel structural components.
• MIG welding of 316 stainless steel pre-cut RHS and beams.
• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.
• Maintaining a high standard of accuracy and workmanship.
• Working safely within a workshop environment.
• Pass a 6 mm MIG fillet weld test, assessed visually in-house, before commencing.

Maxwell Recruitment & Training have been a specialist supplier of skilled labour into heavy industry for over 15 years and currently have opportunities for two Stainless Steel Boilermakers to join our client’s workshop in Tomago.

These positions involve light to medium structural fabrication using 316 stainless steel RHS and beams. Applicants must have stainless steel welding experience and be able to work from fabrication drawings to a high standard.

What Is on Offer:

TIG welding experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
