Graphcore, a leader in AI compute technology, is seeking a Staff System Software Engineer to join our system software team in Cambridge. You will design and implement kernel drivers and user-space libraries using C, C++, and Python, collaborating across hardware, silicon, and software groups.

This role requires a strong background in OS kernel development and performance analysis to deliver robust software for multinational customers.

Qualifications

  • Professional background in C, C++, or Python development.
  • Experience with Linux/Windows kernel and device drivers.
  • Understanding of low-level software stacks and hardware interaction.
  • Proficiency with debugging and performance tools.
  • Experience with PCIe, SoC, firmware, or hardware integration.
  • Strong collaboration in multinational teams.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and test kernel and device driver software using C, C++, and Python.
  • Collaborate within an agile scrum team to deliver software components on schedule.
  • Engage with hardware and silicon engineering groups during product development cycles.
  • Coordinate with architects and internal stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
