West Moreton Health in Queensland is seeking a Cardiologist/advanced trainee to join the Cardiology Service at Ipswich Hospital. The role focuses on advanced diagnostic imaging, cath lab procedures, inpatient and outpatient care, and collaboration with tertiary partners.

You will contribute to training and service development, participate in outreach clinics, and support patient-centred care across the West Moreton region, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

About the roleThe Cardiology Service at Ipswich hospital provides advanced Cardiology care and cardiac diagnostics including contemporary transthoracic echo, transoesophageal echo, stress echo, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, Holter monitoring and exercise stress tests. An onsite cardiac catheterisation lab provides inpatient and outpatient angiography and intervention. Outpatient heart failure and cardiac rehabilitation services are supported by specialist nurses integrating inpatient and outpatient care. In addition to a thriving general cardiology outpatients offering, the WMHHS Better cardiac Care service supports outreach clinics in Boonah, Gatton and Esk and coordinates care for vulnerable patients.
