CommBank is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to shape security engineering and architecture outcomes across Corporate Services and other Group functions. You will be a highly influential individual contributor who sets direction and leads complex programs with engineering, risk and business peers.

Your coverage may span Finance, Treasury, Audit, Property, Procurement, Risk, Human Resources, Legal, Group Corporate Affairs, Technology, Strategy and Performance, and Wealth.

Formación

• Deep experience in security engineering, architecture and technical risk in large-scale, distributed environments.
• Track record leading complex, cross-functional security programs and influencing outcomes beyond a single team.
• Advanced familiarity with AI security, DevSecOps, cloud security and secure software/infrastructure delivery.
• Experience shaping enterprise capabilities such as EDR, SIEM and observability platforms.
• Executive stakeholder skills, with ability to present complex technical matters to senior leaders.

Responsabilidades

• Set technical direction for security engineering and architecture across multiple functions.
• Lead significant programs of work with security, engineering, architecture, risk and business peers.
• Provide authoritative security advice at senior business and technology forums.
• Influence General Managers and technology leaders through risk-informed recommendations.
• Lead complex architecture reviews, threat assessments and security control decisions.
• Address modern AI architectures and threats in generative AI, LLMs and agentic systems.
• Secure AI, ML or data platforms, including AI gateways and runtime protection.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security engineers and practitioners.
• Guide enterprise security solutions such as EDR, SIEM and observability platforms.
• Define reusable patterns and guardrails to improve security outcomes at scale.
