Job summary

Linked Community Services seeks a dedicated transport driver to join our team, delivering accessible, door-to-door transport for elderly and people with disabilities in the Manning and Great Lakes regions.

Qualifications

• C Class Licence required.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Local knowledge of locations and services.
• Willing to obtain National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Understanding of issues relevant to people with disabilities or vulnerabilities.
• Comply with RMS vehicle requirements.
• Comply with WHS requirements for transport services.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable door-to-door transport for elderly and disabled clients.
• Deliver high-quality, demand-responsive transport services with respect and safety as priorities.
• Build rapport with clients and carers; understand community transport needs.
• Support engagement and social activities to enhance wellbeing.
• Work within a regional Manning and Great Lakes service area.

Our Service

Linked Community Services provides accessible and reliable community transport services for our communities in the Hastings, Mid-Coast and Port Stephens regions.

The Role

We have a position based within the Manning and Great Lakes regions. Linked Community Services provide accessible transport to the elderly, people with a disability and their carers and those who can’t drive. Our commitment is to safety, respect, and service excellence. We are a point-to-point service provider and provide the highest quality transport to our community.

An integral component of our service delivery is encouraging clients to get out and about in our community. Our focus is on engagement and the benefits to wellbeing and health through individualised door-to-door pick up and drop off transport service and social outing activities.

• Current C Class Licence, as a minimum
• Energetic and enthusiastic attitude
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Local knowledge of Locations and services
• Willing to undertake National Police and Working with Children Check
• Comprehension of issues relevant to people with disabilities or vulnerabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understand and comply with all RMS requirements for service vehicles
• Understand and comply with all WHS requirements for Service users during transport

Preferred Criteria:

• Experience in wellbeing related activities
• LR Class Licence,
