Job summary

XPT Software in Sydney is seeking a Senior SRv6 Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize IP/MPLS and SRv6 networks for carrier-grade transformations.

You will lead advanced routing, EVPN/VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6, and QoS, drive network automation with Python/Ansible/YANG, and collaborate with the service provider team to ensure high availability and migration programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IP/MPLS Service Provider networks.
• Strong hands-on experience with: SRv6 (Segment Routing IPv6), MPLS & Segment Routing, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, IPv4 & IPv6, Traffic Engineering and QoS.
• Experience on: Nokia 7750 SR / SR OS, Cisco ASR9K / NCS / IOS-XR, Juniper (preferred).
• Network automation experience using Python, Ansible, YANG, NETCONF/RESTCONF.
• Experience in carrier-grade backbone networks, network transformation, and migration programs.
• Ability to provide L3 support and drive RCA for critical incidents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of carrier-grade IP/MPLS and SRv6 network solutions, ensuring scalable, resilient, and high-performance service provider infrastructure.
• Provide advanced operational support by troubleshooting complex network issues, driving root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents, and ensuring network stability across technologies including BGP, ISIS, EVPN/VXLAN, IPv4, and IPv6.
• Develop and enhance network automation capabilities using Python, Ansible, YANG, and NETCONF/RESTCONF, while supporting migration activities, configuration management, and continuous improvement of network operations.
