Job summary

XPT Software Australia is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer (SRv6) to support Optus network transformation and modernization. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in SRv6, MPLS, IPv6, BGP, ISIS, EVPN, and service provider networks.

You will work on backbone networks and modernization initiatives. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in IP/MPLS SP networks, strong automation skills (Python/Ansible/YANG/NETCONF), and experience with Nokia/Cisco/Juniper platforms.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in IP/MPLS Service Provider networks.
Hands-on experience with SRv6, MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6, Traffic Engineering and QoS.
Experience on carrier-grade backbone networks and migration programs.
Network automation using Python, Ansible, YANG, NETCONF/RESTCONF.
Ability to provide L3 support and drive RCA for critical incidents.
Preferred certifications in Service Provider routing.
