Job summary

High Steel Structures LLC is seeking a Sr. Functional Analyst (SAP) to lead SAP S/4HANA configuration, implementation and day-to-day support across modules and end-to-end processes.

You will collaborate with SBU/SRU, drive functional improvements, and automate processes to boost efficiency. The role requires 6+ years' SAP experience, S/4HANA familiarity, strong communication with senior management, and a proven ability to mentor teams while aligning IT with business goals in a manufacturing/ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 6+ years of recent experience in configuring, implementing, and supporting one or more SAP modules. S/4HANA experience and/or certification a plus.
• Strong understanding of integrations between SAP modules. Experience in a Project Systems and/or Manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in additional SAP modules or sub-modules.
• Experience integrating and supporting 3 rd party systems or external data feeds for related processes.
• Proficient understanding of Business theory and practical application for focus modules.
• Experience working with senior level management to establish roadmaps, set priorities, and communicate status.
• Experience implementing process automation and simplification within SAP or using external tools.
• Experience working in a consulting environment, supporting multiple operating units and business models a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements, configure, test and implement SAP solutions and improvements.
• Work with SBU/SRU coworkers to understand business requirements, translate to SAP processes and implement solutions to address the business requirements.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements, integration and automation to improve user efficiency and effectiveness.
• Utilize change control and project management methodologies as defined by the IT organization.
• Perform regular system and process reviews to ensure proper daily operations and quickly resolve production issues.
• Research new industry and business trends and provide recommendations to IT and business leaders.
• Develop understanding new trends in IT and provide thought leadership on how to apply them to Business processes.
• Mentor and coach team members to develop & improve collective team knowledge.
• Oversee scheduling and work content of contractors as needed for projects and improvements in financial systems and processes.
• Collaborate with the other team members to support integrated processes and systems and resolve common issues and challenges.
• Maintain relationships with key strategic business partners and software vendors.
• Complete regular formal and informal personal development to remain current with skills and general knowledge.
• Cross train with other team members to provide backup support.

Job description

The Sr. Functional Analyst (SAP) plays a critical role in projects, process improvements and day-to-day support of the SAP S/4HANA application with primary focus in one or more modules or end to end processes. This position will be responsible for working with the Strategic Business Units (SBU) and Strategic Resource Units (SRU) to implement new functionality, modernize processes and implement automation to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, TRAINING, AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Sr. Functional Analyst operates as part of the Enterprise Solutions team and reports to the Manager of Enterprise Applications. The Sr. Functional Analyst has responsibility for the support and implementation of SAP and related systems. In addition, this role may support additional Enterprise Systems as needed, such as Salesforce, Boomi, data warehouse, etc., across the 12 companies that constitute High.
