Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Australia is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, automate, and support Databricks-based data platforms on Azure. You will apply Terraform IaC, manage RBAC, and optimize costs while collaborating with enterprise teams in a live Azure environment.

The role requires strong Scripting skills, CI/CD experience, and deep knowledge of Lakehouse concepts, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog, with a focus on scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Azure cloud infrastructure engineering or administration.
• Hands-on Terraform IaC implementation.
• Scripting skills in Shell/Bash; PowerShell a plus.
• Experience supporting cloud platforms in enterprise environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD with Azure DevOps / Git.
• Knowledge of Azure Databricks administration and data platform concepts.
• Familiarity with Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization (FinOps).

Role Summary

The role is responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and supporting the cloud infrastructure that underpins Azure Databricks enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate will bring strong Azure infrastructure expertise, Terraform (IaC) experience, scripting skills, and a solid understanding of Databricks and modern data platform architectures.

Required Skills & Experience

• Azure Cloud Infrastructure engineering or administration
• Strong hands‑on experience with:

Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and RBAC management

• Proven experience implementing and managing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Strong scripting and automation skills – Shell/Bash (PowerShell desirable)
• Experience supporting cloud platforms in enterprise environments
• Good understanding of Azure DevOps / Git-based source control and CI/CD practices
• Familiarity with cloud security, networking, monitoring, and operational best practices
• Azure Databricks administration and platform operations
• Understanding of Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and modern data platform concepts
• Exposure to Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and data pipelines
• Experience with FinOps, platform reliability, and cloud cost optimization
