Our client is seeking a skilled SQL Database Developer to join their team and support the development, and optimization of applications. You will have a strong background in SQL database development, performance tuning, and data security, along with proficiency in .NET technologies.

You will be working on a hybrid basis for a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for government services. Their platform is designed to streamline and enhance public sector workflows, providing efficient and effective service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases for the application.
• Optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate database solutions with application features.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including schemas, procedures, and data dictionaries.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Implement backup and recovery plans to safeguard data.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on database-related aspects.
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices

Qualifications:

• Experience as a SQL Database Developer working on large complex enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Strong understanding of database design, indexing, and normalization.
• Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
• Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions is a plus.
