Job summary

Austek Roads ACT is seeking a skilled full-time Spreader Truck Driver to join our team in Hume, ACT. You will operate heavy vehicles, perform pre-start checks and support the roadworks crew with quality spray applications.

Qualifications

• Current HC/HR driver licence and ability to obtain construction certs.
• Asphalt/Seal or roadworks experience preferred.
• White card holder is required.
• Silica and asbestos awareness training as applicable.
• Proficient with bitumen spraying equipment and routine maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail for quality results.
• Good communication and ability to work with the crew.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental policies.

Austek Roads (ACT) are seeking a skilled full time Spreader Truck Driver to join our team in Hume, ACT.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate heavy vehicles, plant and equipment
• Follow direction of Crew leader, site foreperson, project manager and other senior managers
• Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance on all assigned equipment
• Identify and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Current driver's licence (HC/HR) and ability to obtain necessary construction certifications
• Asphalt/Seal or roadworks exp
• White card
• Silica and Asbestos awareness training
• Proficient in the operation and maintenance of bitumen spraying equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, quality results
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction crew
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
