Job summary

Downer in Dalby, QLD is seeking a Spray Seal Foreman to lead our Spray Seal crews on site, coordinate daily activities, and ensure safe, high-quality delivery of road construction projects. You will work with Supervisors, Project Teams and operational crews to drive safety, productivity and engagement.

This role requires 2+ years in civil road construction, spray seal, or profiling, a White Card, and strong leadership with a safety focus. Regional relocation is part of the opportunity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Civil Road Construction, Spray Seal, or Profiling operations.
• Ability to lead crews and delegate tasks effectively.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Spray Seal crews on site.
• Coordinate daily work activities and allocate resources effectively.
• Conduct and oversee plant and equipment pre-start inspections.
• Identify hazards, implement controls, and ensure compliance with WHS requirements.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Monitor the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and share operational and safety best practices.
