Job summary

Wales Truck Repairs in Smithfield is seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our team. You will apply paint and coatings to trucks and trailers, delivering a high-quality finish that enhances appearance and durability.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will prepare surfaces, select materials, and complete paint jobs in accordance with our procedures. We offer competitive pay, training, and career development opportunities within AMA Group.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in spray painting is essential.
• Experience in the collision industry is preferred.
• Must have Australian working rights and a valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces, select paints and materials, and apply spray painting techniques to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Sign off on final colour and perform minor colour adjustments as required.
• Complete paint jobs in line with processes and procedures; maintain spray booths and equipment.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Spray Painter to join our Team at Wales Truck Repairs in Smithfield.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to truck and trails, ensuring a high-quality finish and enhancing their aesthetic appearance.

Role responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces, select appropriate paints and materials, and utilise spray painting techniques to achieve desired results
• Sign off on the final colour, including minor colour adjustments to deliver a high-quality paint finish for the customer
• Complete paint jobs in accordance with processes and procedures
• Maintain spray booths and equipment

• Be a Trade Qualified Spray Painter (essential)
• Experience in the Collision industry (Preferred)
• Have full Australian Working rights and valid drivers licence
