Snowy Hydro is seeking a Spot Trader/Analyst to join the Sydney-based Trading team. The role covers Spot Trading, Spot Analysis, and Projects, operating on a 24/7 roster with a focus on maximizing net revenue through informed market decisions.

The position requires strong quantitative skills, experience in NEM markets or modelling tools, and the ability to work across teams in a dynamic environment. Based in Sydney, it offers a pathway into commercial energy trading and IT project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields is required.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in SQL/Power BI/VBA/Python.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively.
• Prior experience within the NEM or market modelling software (Prophet/Plexos/PowerWorld) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Spot Trading: 24/7 roster basis.
