CleanCo Queensland is seeking a Spot Market Trader to maximise the value of our generation portfolio and support a reliable, affordable energy system for Queensland.

You will execute real-time trading in the NEM, develop strategies, analyse market signals, and deliver forecasts to inform planning and budgeting.

This permanent Brisbane-based role offers hybrid work options and a pathway to influence Queensland's low-emission energy future.

Qualificações

• Bachelor in Economics, Commerce, Mathematics, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience in energy market trading or wholesale electricity markets.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret complex data.
• Knowledge of energy market fundamentals and emerging trends.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to identify market opportunities.
• Experience with trading systems, forecasting tools and quantitative analysis techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Execute real-time trading activities and dispatch generation assets into the National Electricity Market (NEM).
• Develop and refine trading strategies to optimise commercial returns from CleanCo's energy portfolio.
• Analyse market trends, pricing signals and industry developments to support trading decisions.
• Deliver accurate forecasts that support operational planning, financial performance and budgeting.
• Work closely with trading colleagues and market specialists to identify opportunities.
• Support innovative approaches to renewable energy integration and wholesale electricity pricing.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of trading processes, tools and operational practices.
