Job summary

Octagon APAC is seeking an Account Executive in Sydney for a fixed-term contract from October to April 2027. The role is central to the account team and client services, handling the administrative and operational side of accounts while building durable relationships with clients, suppliers and agency partners.

The AE will collaborate with Account Managers and Account Directors to ensure delivery of all project work, bringing energy, culture, and a drive to improve processes.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of agency/client service, event marketing or sports marketing experience or studies in marketing/advertising.
• Understanding and passion for creativity that earns attention.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher).

Responsibilities

• Become a trusted resource for clients, facilitating communication between internal and external partners.
• Develop knowledge of the client portfolio and business initiatives.
• Provide project management support: calendars, WIP meetings, reports, timelines to ensure delivery.
• Assist with event planning, guest communication, ticket management, compliance systems, onsite activation and post-event wrap-up.
• Support account teams in delivering campaigns, activations, and events.
• Co‑coordinate projects with vendors and internal resources, manage assets and program expenses.
