Job summary

Shore Prep School is seeking dedicated Basketball Coaches for a seasonal, casual role. You will work with our younger students, delivering coaching sessions and Saturday morning games in first-class facilities.

Ideal candidates will have experience with youth, a NSW Working with Children Check, and a true passion for helping students grow as athletes and people in a busy school setting.

Qualifications

• Valid NSW Working with Children Check
• Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting
• Basketball coaching or playing experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across the school community
• Flexibility and adaptability in a busy, dynamic environment
• Genuine passion for basketball and helping students grow as athletes and young people

Responsibilities

• Coach Prep School students on a seasonal, casual basis
• Conduct basketball coaching sessions and games (Saturday mornings)
• Support development of students' teamwork, confidence and physical literacy
• Maintain safe and positive coaching environment and communicate with school staff

We're looking for experienced basketball players and coaches ready to bring their passion to the court and make a real impact with our youngest students.

The role

You'll work with Prep School students on a seasonal, casual basis, ideally starting 9 September, with:

• Games: Saturday mornings

• Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting
• Basketball coaching or playing experience

Candidates must be eligible to work in Australia and hold (or be willing to obtain) a current NSW Working with Children clearance.
