Job summary

Axial Training in Brisbane and SE QLD seeks a Sport Trainer & Assessor to deliver the Diploma of Sport to senior secondary students across Queensland, bringing your sport experience into schools and helping learners turn passion into qualifications and future career opportunities.

This role offers flexibility with full-time, part-time or sessional arrangements and a salary negotiable based on experience, plus a laptop and phone to support teaching.

Qualifications

• A relevant sport qualification and/or strong industry experience.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116) or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication, presentation and mentoring skills
• Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Diploma of Sport to senior secondary students, bringing your sporting and industry experience into the school environment.
• You’ll deliver engaging, practical and interactive sport training.
• Share your real-world sporting and industry experience with students.
• Mentor and motivate students to achieve their goals and build confidence.
• Help students develop leadership, communication and professional skills.
• Support students to explore future careers within the sporting industry.
• Build positive relationships with students and partner schools.
• Support assessment and student progression and contribute to engaging learning activities.

New to training? We can support you.
If you have the right industry experience but don't yet hold your TAE, we can support you to obtain your Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

• A relevant Sport qualification and/or strong industry experience
• Experience in sport, coaching, fitness, sport development, administration or management
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116) or a willingness to obtain
• Strong communication, presentation and mentoring skills
• The ability to engage and connect with senior secondary students
• A positive, energetic and professional approach
• A Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one
