Job summary

Austin Health in Melbourne’s northern suburbs is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Spinal Rehabilitation Facility. You will deliver specialized nursing care for patients recovering from spinal cord injuries, provide patient education, and offer emotional support throughout the rehabilitation journey.

Working within a Primary Nursing model, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning and holistic care, with opportunities for ongoing

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with NMBA registration in Australia.
Experience delivering spinal rehab nursing care is preferred.
Excellent communication and patient education skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients with spinal cord injuries.
Provide patient education and emotional support throughout rehabilitation.
Coordinate discharge planning with Allied Health and the Community Spinal team.
Support neurogenic bladder/bowel management, ADLs, respiratory and skin care.
