Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist Team Leader to mentor clinicians, manage a caseload across schools, homes and the community, and lead clinical excellence.

You will guide graduates, supervise weekly, ensure evidence-based interventions, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality services to NDIS participants.

Qualifications

• Current SPA registration as a Speech Pathologist.
• Experience as a Speech Pathologist beyond graduation (3 years minimum).
• Ability to demonstrate leadership capability to meet key responsibilities.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
• Desire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload and complete therapeutic services in a timely manner.
• Deliver Speech Pathology services to participants within schools, homes and the local community.
• Use clinical observations and standardised assessments to formulate treatment goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants get more out of life.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Support graduate and early career Speech Pathologists through supervision and development.
• Build a collaborative environment to help team members achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Support scheduling, referral allocation and workflow optimisation.
• Maintain awareness of current NDIS legislation to ensure compliance.

Qualifications
