Job summary

Latrobe Regional Health is seeking a Grade 2 or Grade 3 Speech Pathologist to deliver clinical services to an assigned caseload aligned with their skills and experience, supporting the department's operational requirements.

The role involves high-quality assessment, treatment and management, coordinating clinical services, and providing education and supervision to staff and students. Paediatric feeding and dysphagia experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in speech pathology.
• Eligibility for Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist status with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Paediatric feeding and dysphagia management (inpatient, including Special Care Nursery, and/or outpatient settings).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Speech Pathology assessment, treatment and management services in line with contemporary evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate and manage clinical services within designated areas to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
• Provide education, support and clinical supervision to staff, students and Allied Health Assistants as appropriate.
• Lead and participate in quality improvement, service development and evidence-based practice initiatives that enhance patient outcomes.
