Job summary

DPV Health is seeking a paediatric speech pathologist (0.6 EFT) to join our ECIS & Youth Team in Broadmeadows. You will provide client-centred, strengths-based services to children with a disability or developmental delay, using a neuro-affirming approach with NDIS-funded children and their families.

You will work within the Early Childhood Intervention & Youth Program, using the Key Worker model to collaborate with all parties involved, delivering timely and developmentally appropriate

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor or Masters of Speech Pathology from a recognised university.
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Ability to work with young children and youth.
  • Passion for supporting children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high quality, evidence-based Early Childhood Intervention and Paediatric Speech Pathology service co-designed with the family.
  • Embrace innovation and responsiveness to support outcomes for children, families and ECIS/Youth teams.
  • Use the Key Worker model in partnership with the child/family to provide timely services.
  • 0.6 EFT role and working across sites in Broadmeadows.

Our large and well established ECIS & Youth Team is growing, and we are excited to offer the opportunity for a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist (0.6 EFT) to join our team. In this role you will be supported to provide client-centred, strengths-based services to children with a disability or developmental delay. We embrace and practice a neuro-affirming approach to all therapy. You will work with NDIS funded children and their families to support them through their journey during childhood.Working as part of the Early Childhood Intervention & Youth Program team, you will be responsible for:



  • Providing a high quality,evidence based Early Childhood Intervention and Paediatric Speech Pathology service that is co-designed with the family. This will meet the needs ofthe children and families in a manner which respects the rights and confidentiality of the child and their family.

  • Embracing innovation and responsiveness to support great outcomes for the children, families and ECIS/Youth teams.

  • Using the Key Worker model in the ECIS team, in partnership and collaboration with all those associated withthe child/family, to provide timely and developmentally appropriate services.

  • Experienced Grade 1 Speech Pathologists will be considered

  • 0.6 EFT role

  • Based in Broadmeadows (Sorrento Street)

You will either have experience or a keen interest as a paediatric speech pathologist, with evidence of successful team development and growth.



  • A Bachelor or Masters ofSpeech Pathologyfrom a recognised university

  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia

  • Ability to work with young children and youth.

  • A passion for supporting children and families.

  • The ability to form a good working relationship with your colleagues, children and their families.

  • Well-developed clinical skills inPaediatric Speech Pathology

  • Awareness of the Key Worker model and transdisciplinary practice

  • Understandingof family centred practice and strengths-based approach

  • Knowledge and experience in delivering services under the NDIS.


The fine print



  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC and NDIS Clearance.

  • Full driver license and travel between sites required.
