Job summary

Avina is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our national allied health team in Townsville. You’ll work across home, school, community and telehealth settings to support NDIS participants in achieving meaningful communication and participation goals.

You’ll shape your caseload around experience and interests, with structured supervision, peer collaboration and access to our multidisciplinary network to develop professionally in a flexible hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Speech Pathology.
• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership or eligibility.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning and organisational skills.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
• Driver's licence and reliable vehicle for community work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Speech Pathology assessments and deliver evidence-informed intervention.
• Support communication, language, social communication and mealtime goals.
• Develop functional, person-centred therapy plans aligned with participant goals.
• Work flexibly across home, school, community and telehealth settings.
• Collaborate with families, carers, educators and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Manage your caseload and schedule with flexibility and autonomy.
• Participate in supervision, peer learning and professional development.
