Job summary

Avina in Townsville is seeking a Speech Pathologist to support NDIS participants across home, school, community and telehealth settings. You will shape your caseload by experience and clinical interests, delivering assessments and client-centred therapy across the lifespan.

You will join a national allied health network with structured supervision, peer collaboration and ongoing professional development to grow your clinical practice within a flexible hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Speech Pathology is required.
• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership or eligibility.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
• Driver's licence and reliable vehicle for community work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Speech Pathology assessments and deliver evidence-informed intervention
• Support communication, language, social communication and mealtime goals
• Develop functional, person-centred therapy plans aligned with participant goals
• Work flexibly across home, school, community and telehealth settings
• Collaborate with families, carers, educators and multidisciplinary colleagues
• Manage your caseload and schedule with flexibility and autonomy
• Participate in supervision, peer learning and professional development

About The Role

We're looking for a Speech Pathologist to join our team in Townsville.

You’ll work across a mix of home, school, community and telehealth settings, supporting NDIS participants to achieve meaningful communication and participation goals.

Shape Your Speech Pathology Caseload

You’ll have the opportunity to work across the lifespan, with your caseload shaped around your experience, clinical interests and local service needs wherever possible.

Your work may include communication, language, social communication and mealtime supports, alongside assessment and ongoing therapy.
