Speak Listen Learn is seeking a Speech Pathologist or Allied Health Assistant (Final-Year SP student) for its Frenchs Forest clinic. AHA pathway offers 6–8 hours weekly initially for final-year students, with potential transition to permanent roles after graduation. Qualified SPs can commence ASAP, with flexible part-time arrangements and strong supervision.

Responsibilities

• Qualified Speech Pathologists will manage their own paediatric caseload with admin support.
• Deliver individualised therapy programs and coordinate with families and teachers.

• Actively participate in supervision, mentoring and professional development.
• Engage with families to support functional communication goals.
• Contribute to a paediatric clinic environment that is warm and collaborative.

Are you already a qualified Speech Pathologist looking for a supportive, flexible paediatric role?

Or are you in your final year of Speech Pathology and would love to start working with us now as an Allied Health Assistant, before transitioning into a permanent Speech Pathologist role after graduation?

Speak Listen Learn is growing, and we’re looking for someone warm, engaged and genuinely interested in working with children and families to join our multidisciplinary team in Frenchs Forest.

For a qualified Speech Pathologist, the position would commence ASAP and would ideally start as part-time.

For a final-year Speech Pathology student, you’ll join us initially in our established Allied Health Assistant role for approximately 6-8 hours per week, with potential for additional hours during university and school holidays. Following graduation, you’ll have the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time or part-time Speech Pathologist position in 2027.

About us

Speak Listen Learn is a warm, family-centred paediatric Speech Pathology and Audiology clinic based in Frenchs Forest.

Our clinic is bright, calm and thoughtfully designed, with a sensory gym, well-equipped therapy rooms, extensive resources and dedicated administrative support.

Our multidisciplinary team includes Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy and specialist feeding/dysphagia Speech Pathology. We also share our building with Psychology and Early Intervention services, creating plenty of opportunities for collaboration.

We support children and young people with practical, meaningful communication goals, and support our clinicians with realistic expectations, quality supervision and a work environment that is engaging, positive and sustainable.

About the role

Our caseload spans infants through to teenagers, with a broad range of clinical presentations and areas of practice.

Depending on your role, experience and interests, your work may include:

• Speech sound disorders

• Language and literacy

• AAC and complex communication needs

• Developmental and complex disability

• Early intervention and parent coaching

• Neurodivergent children and adolescents

• Hearing loss and communication

• Working collaboratively with families, teachers and other professionals

Qualified Speech Pathologists will manage their own paediatric caseload with full admin support. The role would be shaped around your interests, experience and availability.

Final-year Speech Pathology students will work as an AHA under the direction and supervision of our Speech Pathologists, implementing individualised therapy programs and gaining practical clinical experience before transitioning into their graduate role.

What we’re looking for

You must be either:

• A qualified Speech Pathologist, or

• A final-year Speech Pathology student who will be eligible to practise as a Speech Pathologist following graduation in 2027.

• Full Australian working rights

• Eligibility for SPA membership
