Murrumbidgee Speech Pathology is seeking paediatric speech pathologists for a full-time (or part-time) role with a mixed caseload of early childhood and school-age clients who have communication and feeding concerns.

We encourage both experienced and new graduates to apply. The role includes regular supervision with a senior pathologist, a generous PD budget, and opportunities for growth within a supportive team of four speech pathologists, an allied health assistant, and an office administrator.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.
• Current Speech Pathology Australia Membership with CPSP.
• Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
• Experience working with children and young people with disabilities.
• Ability to collaborate with children and families from diverse backgrounds.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 therapy, groups and community education activities.
• Engage with families to support communication and feeding goals.
• Participate in regular supervision with a senior speech pathologist (weekly initially).

This full-time (or part-time) position will be paediatric with a mixed caseload of early childhood, and school age clients with a range of communication and feeding disorders.

Experienced and newly graduated speech pathologists are encouraged to apply.

Murrumbidgee Speech Pathology was established in 2019 with the aim of providing a local speech pathology service known for excellence, integrity, equality, respect and acceptance.

You will be joining a supportive and fun team that values learning from each other. Our team includes four speech pathologists, an allied health assistant, and an office administrator. We enjoy team building and professional development days and have regular social activities during the term.

Murrumbidgee Speech Pathology have developed very strong relationships within our local community and have particular interest in working with children from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, and children in out of home care.

Provides regular, individualised supervision with a senior speech pathologist. Supervision will be weekly initially.

Provides a very generous professional development (PD) budget to ensure that our team continues to grow and develop. You will receive paid PD days (and the costs of registration and travel). Over the past 12 months, our staff have completed external training in Meaningful Speech, Hanen It Takes Two to Talk, Nuffield Dyspraxia Program and Cultural Awareness Training, as well as 4 dedicated internal PD days. We also meet twice a term for journal discussions.

New Graduates

we have a new graduate learning program which includes mentoring, self paced learning modules, paid external professional development, scheduled internal professional development and shadowing of more experienced staff. Your caseload will be carefully considered, and will be built up gradually as you develop your skills and experience.

Skills and Experience

Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.

Current Speech Pathology Australia Membership with Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist status (or willing to get)

Current Working with Children's Check and Police Check

Skills and experience in working with children and young people with disabilities

Interest in working collaboratively with children and families from diverse backgrounds. This includes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families from a low socioeconomic background, and children in out of home care.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to show initiative and innovation
