Avina is seeking a Speech Pathologist in its 12-month Graduate Program across SA regional opportunities. You’ll start with a 9-week onboarding and structured caseload ramp-up, with regular supervision and shadowing from senior SPs.
You'll gain experience across community, clinic, and school settings, working in Port Pirie or other SA regional locations, with MDT collaboration and a supportive team guiding your clinical growth.
Build confidence, broaden your skills and start your Speech Pathology career supported, somewhere with a genuinely different pace of life.
At Avina, we're a national allied health and behaviour support organisation supporting communities across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.
With a team of 400+ clinicians, we deliver Speech Pathology alongside Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dietetics and Positive Behaviour Support across community and clinic settings.
Our values guide how we work every day: Progressive | Curious | Respectful | Collaborative | Informed | Purposeful
Your first year as a Speech Pathologist should be about developing your clinical identity, building confidence and having people around you who you can turn to when you're still figuring things out.
Our 12-month Graduate Program provides a structured pathway from university into clinical practice, beginning with a 9-week onboarding and gradual caseload ramp-up.
You'll have opportunities to build your capability across a diverse range of Speech Pathology practice areas depending on your location, caseload and interests, including:
You'll deliver evidence-informed, person-centred Speech Pathology services across community, clinic, home and school environments.
Your caseload will build gradually as your skills and confidence develop, with ongoing clinical support available throughout your graduate year.
If you're open to relocating, you'd be joining a small, close-knit regional team based out of our Port Pirie office. Caseloads here typically lean heavily paediatric, with a smaller adult component. You'll work across the full lifespan in both clinic and community settings including in clients' homes, schools and SIL/SDAs.
Clinicians from our Adelaide-based teams also regularly travel out to Port Pirie as part of their own roles, so you'll be well connected to the wider SA network, both in person and through Microsoft Teams.
It's a supportive team well suited to someone kind, curious, self-motivated and comfortable asking for support.
If you're keen to build skills across a varied caseload, with real supervision and a genuinely supportive team behind you, we'd like to hear from you.
Please note in your application which of the above locations you'd be open to, even if it's not the one this ad is posted under, and we'll consider your application for your preferred region.
