Job summary

NextSense, a not-for-profit, is seeking a Speech Pathologist for a part-time role in Port Macquarie. You will work on-site, deliver services in person or via telepractice, and contribute to ISP development within a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a Bachelor in Speech Pathology (or equivalent), membership with Speech Pathology Australia, and at least 1 year of clinical experience. Driving license, NDIS and WWC checks are required.

• Bachelor in Speech Pathology or equivalent.
• Practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in providing speech pathology services.
• Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle (re-imbursement for kms travelled).
• NDIS Worker Check and Working With Children Check.
• Experience with clients with sensory disability and NDIS framework.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based assessment and intervention to support client/family outcomes.
• Deliver services in person or via telepractice at various settings (Centre, home, school).
• Develop, deliver and evaluate Individual Support Plans reflecting strengths and family priorities.
• Use a person/family-centred framework in service delivery.
• Participate in clinical supervision and support other team members.

This is a Part-timeopportunity (3 days per week) building our speech pathology services. This role will report directly to aTeam Lead - Greater Australiaand will work onsite at our Port Macquarie site.

You’ll make a difference in this role by:

• Providingevidence-based assessment, intervention supports and other clinically appropriate strategies to assist client/family to achieve outcomes.
• Delivering services in person, via telepractice in a NextSense centre, client home, school or other appropriate setting.
• Developing, delivering and evaluatingIndividual Support Plans (ISP)that reflect the individual’s strengths and needs and the family’s priorities.
• Usinga person/family centred framework when providing services.
• Participatingin and providingclinical supervision to other team members.
