PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER ROLE DESCRIPTION

Our Lady of the Way Catholic Primary School is a P-6 School in Wallan East. The Primary Physical Education Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating a high-quality, engaging and inclusive Physical Education program across Foundation to Year 6. The role supports students to develop physical literacy, confidence, teamwork, resilience and positive attitudes towards lifelong participation in physical activity.

The successful applicant will contribute positively to the school's Catholic identity and culture and work collaboratively with colleagues to support the academic, physical, social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of every student.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

• understand and support the Catholic ethos and vision of the School, and be willing to be involved in School and Parish activities
• display a love of learning and a passion for working with young children
• possess VIT registration
• be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school (or be in the process of obtaining this)
• be familiar and comply with all requirements of Child Safety, policies and legal responsibilities concerning the safety, care and wellbeing of all students.

• coordinate and manage School Sports Victoria Interschool Swimming, Cross-Country and Athletics participation
• coordinate sport across the school
