Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Australia is seeking a Specialist Project Engineer to join our Projects and Construction team in a regional role based primarily at Tropicana Gold Mine. The 12-month fixed-term position operates on a 4/3 FIFO roster from Perth with direct charter flights provided.

Reporting to the Director of Projects and Construction, you will integrate project design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, manage scopes, schedules and costs, and lead QA/QC and contractor

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Process Engineering.
• Postgraduate Project Management is advantageous.
• Minimum 4 years in mining with construction/infrastructure delivery.
• Experience with processing plants and site infrastructure.
• Experience managing EPCM and contractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, SAP and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Define project requirements with stakeholders.
• Support HSE improvements during site construction.
• Assist PMs with project management plans and planning.
• Lead procurement activities for cost-effective execution.
• Coordinate work packages, construction methods and QA plans.
• Review drawings and manage scope and schedules.
• Monitor costs and assist with forecasts.
• Oversee contractor management and compliance.
• Integrate site activities with planning and shutdowns.
• Communicate progress, risks and interactions to stakeholders.
