Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti seeks a Specialist Project Engineer for a regional role predominantly based at Tropicana Gold Mine. The role reports to the Director Projects and Construction and is a fixed-term 12-month opportunity on a 4/3 FIFO roster from Perth, with direct charter flights provided.

Lead the integration of project design and construction, manage planning, procurement, and handover, and ensure alignment with the Australia Region Project framework.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical (preferred), Civil, Electrical, or Process Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience within the mining industry, including at least 2 years' experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects in brownfield and greenfield environments.
• Experience with processing plants and site infrastructure, including pumping, piping, comminution, underground infrastructure, and NPI.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to define project requirements and outcomes.
• Provide support for implementing systems that improve HSE performance during construction on site.
• Assist Project Managers with planning, cost forecasts and contract management across projects.
• Lead procurement activities to ensure cost-effective project execution and identify savings.
