Job summary
Animal Referral Hospital Brisbane is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Nurse to join our specialist oncology team on a maternity leave contract. This full-time role focuses on hands-on nursing, oncology care, and high standards of patient wellbeing.
You will work with our experienced specialists and clinicians, enjoying excellent communication, time management, and a collaborative team environment, with opportunities for on-the-job training and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in veterinary nursing and/or BAppSc (Veterinary Technology) degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years nursing experience in a busy general practice or referral/emergency setting.
- Strong knowledge of anaesthetic monitoring, oncology nursing and patient care.
- Experience in an emergency and/or specialist hospital is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality patient care in a specialist oncology setting.
- Collaborate within a fast-paced oncology team guided by clinicians.
- Deliver on-the-job training and support from senior nurses.
- Contribute to continuing education and professional development opportunities.
