Job summary

Roy Hill is seeking a Specialist Fixed Plant Electrical Maintenance professional to join the mine site on a 4/3, 4/3, 4/3, 8/6 roster at Roy Hill Mine in Newman, WA. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing and optimising electrical systems in the processing plant to minimise downtime and boost productivity.

You will report to the Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance, provide specialist planning support, and develop documentation for maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Fixed plant electrical design, schematics and maintenance schedules knowledge.
• Experience in SAP or CMMS and Master Data Management.
• Ability to lead projects and improvements; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Support fixed plant maintenance safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide expert guidance and troubleshooting to supervisors and teams.
• Identify training needs and upskill personnel; present findings to stakeholders.
• Standardise and optimise work management using KPIs and OEE data.

About the role:

The Electrical Maintenance team is currently seeking a Specialist Electrical Maintenance to join them on a 4/3, 4/3, 4/3, 8/6 days only roster based at Roy Hill Mine.

Bring your expertise to our Mine Processing Fixed Plant facilities, where you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and optimising equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will be instrumental in minimising downtime and boosting productivity, supporting both long-term and medium-term planning objectives.

Reporting to the Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance, you will provide specialised support across electrical planning, and scheduling, as well as develop technical documentation for first-time or infrequent electrical maintenance tasks. Using data-driven insights, you will lead and drive continuous improvements to our maintenance processes. You will also coach and mentor leaders and team members within the Fixed Plant Maintenance teams, helping to build capability and foster a culture of excellence.

Duties:

• Support the delivery of fixed plant maintenance team safety and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide expert guidance and troubleshooting to supervisors and team members, supporting critical maintenance issues and facilitating engagement with subject matter experts
• Support team development and communication by identifying training needs, upskilling personnel, and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership
• Standardise and optimise work management across electrical teams, using performance KPIs and OEE data to recommend and implement process improvements

Skills and Experience:

• Sound understanding of fixed plant electrical design, schematics and maintenance schedules, methodologies and strategies
• Experience in SAP or similar CMMS and experience in Master Data Management
• Experience in leading projects and improvements
• Knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act and Regulations
• At minimum WA electrical Trade certification, Electrical Engineering degree preferred
• Ability to validate complex scopes of work on Maintenance Execution
• Strong and demonstrated communication skills in influencing, written and verbal
