Job summary

Advara HeartCare is seeking a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to provide high-quality cardiovascular testing and patient care across multiple locations in Queensland. You will operate ultrasound systems, perform echocardiograms and stress tests, and work closely with cardiologists to deliver accurate diagnoses.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, ongoing professional development, and strong teamwork in a patient-centred environment across Australia’s leading cardiology network.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Ultrasound required.
• Current ASAR registration.
• Demonstrated echocardiography expertise.
• Excellent patient communication and teamwork.
• Eligible to work across multiple QLD locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate cardiac ultrasound and related testing equipment to assist diagnoses.
• Explain procedures clearly and ensure best-practice testing protocols.
• Engage with clinical managers and referrers to maintain relationships.
• Collaborate with Cardiologists and staff to uphold safety and compliance.

The Opportunity

As our highly valuedSpecialist Cardiac Physiologist, you’ll use your skills and expertise to provide quality care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

You’ll make a meaningful impact by:

• Operating industry-leading cardiac ultrasound and testing equipment to assist in accurate medical diagnoses.
• Prioritising exceptional patient care by explaining procedures clearly and following best practice testing protocols to document pathology characteristics effectively.
• Engaging with clinical managers and referrers, addressing their needs promptly to maintain strong working relationships.
• Working closely with Cardiologists and staff to uphold quality standards, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong clinical capability with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care.

You’ll have:

• A postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Ultrasound
• Current registration with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in echocardiography
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient-focused approach
• You will need to be able to perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms and assists Cardiologists
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while taking direction when required
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Current Australian Driver’s License and ability to work across several locations in the QLD region
