Job summary

Advara HeartCare seeks a Casual Cardiographer to provide ECG testing, monitoring, and analysis across Wollongong, Shellharbour and Nowra. You’ll support cardiology teams, set up testing rooms, and help patients through diagnostic procedures with exceptional care.

The role requires a health science degree or related field, strong ECG knowledge, and the ability to travel between sites with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of a health science degree or related field; degree/diploma in applied science acceptable.
• Strong knowledge of ECG analysis and interpretation.
• Ability to guide and educate less experiencedCardiac Physiologists.
• Willingness to travel between sites and work autonomously or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECGs, analyse and interpret results, apply Holter/Event monitors.
• Assist Cardiologists with Exercise Stress Tests and related procedures.
• Set up and maintain ECG and Stress testing rooms before and after tests.
• Collaborate with staff across multiple cardiology practices to ensure best care.

We’re looking for a Casual Cardiographer to join our TCC team, working across Wollongong, Shellharbour and Nowra. This role will provide flexible support across all three locations, including leave coverage as required.

As a CardiacPhysiologist you will be responsible for the day-to-day best practice delivery of ECG-related testing procedures for Advara HeartCare patients. These procedures include ECG recording, Blood Pressure and other basic parameter measurements, Ambulatory Monitoring, analysis and recording of results, as well as assisting specialist doctors with Exercise Stress Tests. This position is also responsible for setting up and maintaining ECG and Stress testing rooms ahead of/after testing and assisting patients during all diagnostic procedures.

What you’ll do:

• Manageprocedures including the performance of ECGs, analysis and interpretation of ECGs, blood pressure,Holtermonitor and event monitor application and analysis; as well as assisting Cardiologists with Exercise Stress Tests and Exercise Stress Echocardiograms
• Youwill be required to work closely with other Cardiac Physiologists, Specialist Cardiac Physiologists, Cardiologists and all practice staff to ensure best practice and optimise patient outcomes.
• Youwill be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while working acrss a number of busy Cardiology practices across multiplelocations
• Have the ability to work under pressure and respond to fluctuating workflow and internal/external demands.

Who you are:

• Completion of, or still completing, a Primary Degree in Health Science or related field; or a Degree or Diploma in Applied Science
• Thorough understanding of the principles of ECG analysis and interpretation
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to provide guidance and theoretical education to less experienced Cardiac Physiologists
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, and adapt to change
• Exceptional communication skills
• License and car are essential, as the ability to travel between sites is an important part of the role
• Take on additional duties/responsibilities where appropriate.
