Job summary

Advara HeartCare is seeking a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to provide expert echocardiography services across WA. You’ll perform echocardiograms, stress tests and related investigations, collaborating with cardiologists to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Ultrasound.
• Current ASAR registration is required.
• Demonstrated echocardiography expertise.
• Excellent communication and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to perform echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms, assist Cardiologists.
• Collaborative team player with direction-taking ability.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence; capable of working across WA locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate cardiac ultrasound and testing equipment to aid diagnoses.
• Explain procedures clearly and follow best-practice protocols.
• Engage with clinical managers and referrers to meet needs.
• Collaborate with Cardiologists and staff to uphold safety and compliance.

The Opportunity

As our highly valued Cardiac Sonographer/ Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, you’ll use your skills and expertise to provide quality care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

You’ll make a meaningful impact by:

• Operating industry-leading cardiac ultrasound and testing equipment to assist in accurate medical diagnoses.
• Prioritising exceptional patient care by explaining procedures clearly and following best practice testing protocols to document pathology characteristics effectively.
• Engaging with clinical managers and referrers, addressing their needs promptly to maintain strong working relationships.
• Working closely with Cardiologists and staff to uphold quality standards, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong clinical capability with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care.

You’ll have:

• A postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Ultrasound
• Current registration with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in echocardiography
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient-focused approach
• You will need to be able to perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms and assists Cardiologists
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while taking direction when required
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Current Australian Driver’s License and ability to work across several locations in the WA region.
