Job summary

HammondCare Miranda is seeking Casual Specialised Carers - Residential Carer to join our team. You will provide tailored personal care, support residents with dementia, and help create a home away from home. Training and RN support are available on site, with buddy shifts to help you settle in.

We value passion for elder care, teamwork, and the ability to work independently across shifts including nights and weekends. Aged care qualifications are preferred but not mandatory for all applicants.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide tailored personal care (showering, grooming, toileting).
• Experience with dementia resident engagement and life engagement activities.
• Flexible mindset to cover nights and weekends.
• Commitment to safe, compassionate care and reporting changes to RN/management.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support to residents.
• Support residents with dementia through engagement and monitoring.
• Collaborate with the care team to maintain a home-like environment.
• Attend onsite orientation and buddy shifts with supervision.

HammondCare Miranda is currently looking for Casual Specialised Carers - Residential Carer to join our team.

Essence of the role: With our unique model of care which places the residents’ needs as your number one priority, you will help create a home away from home for our residents. This role requires you to provide tailored care including personal support within the residential home. Personal care - showering, grooming, toileting etc Provide life engagement Support residents with levels of dementia Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents within your skills and competencies All new staff will complete an onsite orientation with a Workplace Trainer, have buddy shifts and be supported by experienced Registered Nurses and Managers on site.
