Job summary

HammondCare’s Respite Cottages in Dubbo provide short-term accommodation and personalised care for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights.

As a Specialised Carer you’ll deliver personal care, support guests, and help create a welcoming, home-like environment, with shifts across mornings, afternoons, and nights.

No formal qualification is required, but a Certificate III and First Aid are advantageous; strong empathy, teamwork and good admin skills will help you thrive.

Qualifications

• No formal qualification required, but Certificate III in Individual Support is advantageous.
• First Aid certificate desirable.
• Empathy and compassion are essential.
• Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene.
• Deliver care per individual care plans.
• Support guests during overnight or extended stays.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally.
• Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities.
