Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Special Events Project Manager to lead a portfolio of engagement and community-focused events within the Alumni and Supporter Experience team, including the flagship Community Festival. You will coordinate delivery, manage stakeholders, and provide specialist guidance across initiatives, thriving in a fast-paced university environment.

The role offers a 35-hour week and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience coordinating delivery of a broad range of events, including high-profile and large-scale events.
  • Confident stakeholder management with a passion for relationships.
  • Advanced verbal and written skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Previous project management and administration experience.
  • Ability to think critically and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a portfolio of engagement, cultivation, stewardship and community-focused events.
  • Oversee the flagship Community Festival and contribute to additional event initiatives throughout the year.
  • Provide specialist advice on event planning and delivery across the Advancement Portfolio.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely execution.
