Job summary

Educationhq is seeking a Teacher Special Education for Cairnsfoot School in Brighton-Le-Sands, NSW, to support students from K–12 with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities and complex needs, including autism and health care needs.

The role requires full approval to teach, ability to differentiate curricula, communicate with families, work with colleagues and service providers, and implement positive behaviour supports.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach special education and/or experience with Moderate to Severe Intellectual Disability (Primary/Secondary), Autism and physical disability.
• Differentiating the curriculum and designing functional learning plans.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents/carers and work with staff and service providers to deliver learning programs.
• Proven capacity to deliver positive behaviour support programs integrating communication and socialisation for learning.
