NSW Department of Education is seeking two full‑time teachers for the Chifley College Shalvey Campus in the Sydney region. The role focuses on Special Education with a campus known for inclusive practices and strong community links.

Two vacancies offer a total remuneration package up to $160,942. Base salary ranges from $92,882 to $141,997 per year, with leave loading and employer superannuation contributions. Closing date is 18 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism, Mild Intellectual Disability, Emotional Disturbance or Behaviour Difficulties.
• Demonstrated ability to work as an active and engaged member of the Inclusive Education Faculty.
• Innovative classroom practice and experience in designing, implementing and evaluating quality teaching and learning programs and strategies to meet the learning and wellbeing needs, goals and interests of students with a disability.
• Highly developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work proactively and professionally as part of a team, including parent, carers, school learning support officers and the wider school community.
