Rouse Hill High School in Sydney's north-west is seeking a Head Teacher Special Education to lead inclusive learning for students with disability. The school will have autism class and support classes from 2027 and focuses on collaborative practice to improve teaching and student outcomes.

The successful candidate will hold full approval to teach, lead curriculum design, manage staff and resources, and work with families and the community to support life skills and wellbeing for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach students and/or demonstrated experience with Behaviour Difficulties or Autism.
• Ability to develop individualised learning, behaviour, wellbeing and transition plans.
• Capacity to create inclusive learning environments and age-appropriate spaces.
• Strong understanding of Life Skills curriculum and evidence-based practices.
