State Government of Victoria supports a principal teaching role at Yarrabah School to deliver individualised programs for students with disabilities. You will lead classroom activities, develop ILPs, and collaborate with therapy teams to optimise student outcomes.

Applicants should have provisional or full VIT registration and a commitment to ongoing professional development, with emphasis on inclusive education and family engagement.

Formación

• Plan and deliver programs for students with intellectual disabilities.
• Engage students with special needs, including sensory needs, in meaningful learning.
• Manage challenging behaviours using Positive Behaviour Support.
• Assess and report student progress to parents regularly.
• Maintain high-level communication with students, parents and staff.
• Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional growth.

Responsabilidades

• Direct teaching to ability level of individual students and ILPs.
• Plan, prepare and deliver programs aligned with student goals and curriculum.
• Participate in meetings such as staff, PLC planning, camps and excursions.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and wellbeing plans.
• Work with therapy team to maximise student outcomes.
• Provide regular parent contact and reports; supervise yard duties.
