Qualifications

• KSC 1: Teaching & Learning – plan and deliver programs for students with intellectual disabilities.
• KSC 2: Teaching Practice – engage students with special needs, including sensory needs, in meaningful learning.
• Evidence of managing challenging behaviours using a Positive Behaviour Support framework.
• KSC3: Assessment and reporting – assess and report student progress to families.
• KSC4: Interaction with the school community – communicate well with students, parents and staff.
• KSC5: Teamwork – work effectively within a dynamic educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching to the ability level of individual students and ILPs.
• Develop and deliver programs aligned to student goals and curriculum focus.
• Maintain a work program and participate in meetings and planning sessions.
• Collaborate with the therapy team to achieve student outcomes.
• Engage with parents and carers through regular updates and reports.
