Job summary

SIMPEC in Darwin is seeking an experienced Darwin-based Special Class Welder to join the McArthur River Mine Project on a FIFO roster. The role covers welding across structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works with site modifications and installations as required.

The roster is 2 weeks on / 1 week off, for an anticipated ~3-month duration, with the Point of Hire in Darwin, NT. Applicants must satisfy pre-employment medicals, have relevant qualifications, and be eligible

• Previous Construction / Mining Experience
• High Risk Work Licence - WP above 11 meters (desirable)
• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
• Working at Heights (Within 2 Years)
• Construction Card
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Australian Work Rights

Job description

SIMPEC is currently seeking an experienced Darwin based Special Class Welder to join our team on the McArthur River Mine Project.

About the Role

SIMPEC will deliver structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works as part of this project. The scope also includes modifications to existing infrastructure and installation of ancillary items.

Located approximately 900km southeast of Darwin, the McArthur River Mine is a key site within Glencore’s operations.

• Roster: FIFO – 2 weeks on / 1 week off
• Project Duration: Approximately 3 months
• Point of Hire: Darwin, Northern Territory
