Job summary

NSW State Emergency Service Wollongong NSW is seeking a GIS specialist to design and deliver geospatial solutions, dashboards and data products for staff and volunteers. You will help manage flood data and support operational response as part of the Emergency Management Directorate.

You will work in a hybrid environment with a 35-hour week, competitive salary, and generous leave entitlements while contributing to critical community safety initiatives across NSW.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualification or relevant experience in GIS/spatial information.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise/ArcGIS Pro and VertiGIS Studio.
• Ability to design and deliver GIS solutions, dashboards and geospatial products.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver GIS solutions, create maps, dashboards and field tools.
• Administer NSW Flood Data Portal and flood data management services.
• Support mapping officer role during operational response.
