Job summary

Fork Force Australia in Melbourne is seeking a Spare Parts Interpreter to drive parts sales and maintain strong customer relationships. You will respond to enquiries by phone, email or counter, interpret requirements, and ensure a positive outcome.

The role covers inventory control across our main warehouse and Field Service vans, packing and shipping, quoting, and general warehousing tasks. You will need 3+ years in spare parts interpreting, good communication, and the ability to work to tight

Qualifications

• 3+ years of spare parts interpreting experience.
• Forklift industry experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; Baseplan experience preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet strict deadlines.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend to internal & external enquiries via counter, email or phone.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build relationships.
• Inventory control including regular stocktakes for warehouse and vans.
• Packing and shipping of orders.
• General warehousing duties and van stock replenishment.
• Provide quotes to the Service Department for repair work.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers.

Job description

The Spare Parts Interpreter's primary role is to generate parts sales to internal and external customers whilst maintaining good customer relationships. Additionally, the role involves responding to customer enquiries and interpreting customer requirements to achieve a positive and successful outcome.

• Attending to internal & external enquiries, either through counter sales, email or via phone.
• Exceptional Customer Service
• Inventory Control, including scheduling and executing regular stocktake on both the main warehouse and the Field Service Technicians' vans.
• Packing and shipping of orders
• General warehousing duties
• Replenishment of Field Service Technician's van stock
• Provide quotes to the Service Department to assist with customer repair quotes
• Building an effective and positive relationship with all customers.

What you'll need to succeed

• 3+ years of Previous Spare Parts Interpreting experience is highly regarded
• Forklift Industry experience an advantage
• Excellent Communication
• Good mechanical skills
• Forklift License preferred, not essential
• Microsoft Office
• Baseplan software experience preferred
• Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and a proficiency in time management
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
