Apprenticeships Are Us is offering a Spare Parts Apprentice position in Matraville, NSW. Join an established host employer and gain hands-on experience in automotive parts identification, stock management and customer service while you study for the AUR31020 Certificate III in Automotive Sales – Spare Parts.

You'll earn while you learn, with weekly wages, leave entitlements and mentoring from experienced staff, building a career path across parts, warehousing and dealership operations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify automotive parts and components.

Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated Spare Parts Apprentice to join one of our established host employers in Matraville, NSW.

This is a great opportunity to build a career in the automotive industry while developing practical skills in parts identification, stock management, customer service and automotive components.

You’ll earn while you learn and complete your AUR31020 Certificate III in Automotive Sales – Spare Parts, gaining hands‑on experience in a professional automotive parts environment.

No previous automotive experience is required. If you’re organised, reliable, interested in cars and enjoy helping people, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside experienced staff, you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify automotive parts and components.
  • Assist customers and workshop staff with parts enquiries.
  • Look up and locate the correct parts using catalogues and computer systems.
  • Process parts orders and customer requests.
  • Receive, check and unpack incoming stock.
  • Pick and prepare parts for customers and workshop technicians.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels.
  • Organise and maintain parts storage areas.
  • Assist with stocktakes and inventory checks.
  • Develop your knowledge of automotive products and components.
  • Provide professional customer service in person and over the phone.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.

As your knowledge develops, you’ll become more confident identifying parts, assisting customers and managing day‑to‑day parts operations.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised and genuinely interested in developing a career within the automotive industry.

To be successful, you’ll ideally have:

  • A genuine interest in cars and automotive parts.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A reliable and professional approach to work.

  • Confidence communicating with customers and colleagues.
  • The ability to reliably travel to Matraville, NSW.
  • A current driver’s licence (P1 or above preferred).

Previous automotive or spare parts experience is not required. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, genuine interest in the industry and commitment to completing their apprenticeship.
