Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking motivated 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentices to join one of our established host employers in Artarmon, NSW.
Whether you're looking to start your apprenticeship or continue your existing training, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a professional automotive workshop. You'll work alongside experienced technicians, gain hands‑on experience with real vehicles and continue building the practical skills needed to become a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.
You'll earn while you learn and work towards completing your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, gaining experience across vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostics and preventative maintenance.
1st Year applicants do not need previous automotive experience. For 2nd and 3rd Year applicants, we're looking for apprentices who are ready to continue developing their skills and progress towards completing their qualification.
Open to 1st, 2nd & 3rd Years – Start your apprenticeship or continue your training and build on the skills you've already developed.
Hands‑On Automotive Experience – Develop practical skills servicing, maintaining and repairing light vehicles.
Learn from Experienced Technicians – Work alongside qualified professionals who will support your development throughout your apprenticeship.

Depending on your apprenticeship stage and current skill level, you'll continue developing hands‑on experience in:
Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults under appropriate supervision.
Inspecting and repairing braking, steering and suspension systems.
Assisting with engine and drivetrain repairs.
Replacing worn or damaged mechanical components.
Carrying out vehicle inspections and safety checks.
Using modern diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
Checking and replacing fluids, filters and other service components.
Following manufacturer specifications and repair procedures.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
As your skills and confidence develop, you'll gradually take on more complex servicing, diagnostic and repair work under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Applying as a 1st Year? No experience is required. Previous workshop experience or a Certificate II is not essential. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, genuine interest in the trade and commitment to completing their apprenticeship.
Already a 2nd or 3rd Year apprentice? We welcome applications from apprentices looking for an opportunity to continue their training, develop their skills and progress towards becoming qualified.
A Light Vehicle Mechanical apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to develop practical skills across a broad range of vehicle systems while gaining real industry experience.
Whether you're beginning your apprenticeship or already partway through your training, you'll continue working towards your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and developing the technical knowledge and hands‑on experience required to become a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.
