Job summary

HEO Robotics seeks a Software Engineer to strengthen our NEI data and insights platform, HEO Inspect. You’ll focus on backend development while contributing to frontend tasks, delivering responsive interfaces and visualisations for space-domain data.

You will collaborate with R&D and product teams to implement features, optimise cloud services, and productionise algorithms that enhance operations. This role is based in Sydney with opportunities to shape our growing platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar field
• 4+ years of industry experience in developing web applications on the cloud
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a willingness to experiment to solve new challenges
• Extensive knowledge in: Python or any OO language; web development with Django and RESTful APIs; end-to-end systems development including persistent storage and deployment (CI/CD)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features on HEO Inspect with focus on performance, UX and interactivity
• Maintain and develop cloud-based back-end services automating operations in Space
• Collaborate with R&D to productionise new algorithms
• Work with product/go-to-market/analyst teams to meet customer requirements via web app, API and integrations
